CVE-2026-90942

Casdoor through 4.4.0 Private Key Exposure via Certificate Endpoints

No known exploitation. EPSS puts it in the 18th percentile. No fix published yet.

Published Updated Sources: CVE.org, NVD

What to do

No fixed build or workaround is published yet. Limit exposure and watch for a patch.

Steps

Written by AI from the record
  1. Check whether you run Casdoor 4.4.0 or earlier and identify everyone with an organization administrator account.
  2. Restrict organization administrator access to trusted staff, remove unneeded accounts, and require strong sign-in protection.
  3. Limit access to Casdoor's certificate-related web addresses to trusted administrators while awaiting a vendor fix.
  4. No fixed version is currently available; watch Casdoor's security updates and upgrade promptly when a release is published.
  5. Review administrator activity for unexpected account creation, permission changes, or sign-ins.

What it is

From the CVE record

Casdoor through 4.4.0 fails to properly mask the instance-wide built-in certificate private key in /api/get-certs and /api/get-cert endpoints, allowing organization administrators to retrieve it. Attackers can use the exposed private key to forge JWT tokens for any user in any organization, including global administrators.

In plain language

Written by AI from the record

Casdoor through 4.4.0 can let a compromised organization administrator obtain a master signing key and impersonate any user, so affected businesses should act now to limit access and plan a vendor-supported fix.

Casdoor through 4.4.0 has an authorization flaw in its certificate endpoints that lets organization administrators retrieve the instance-wide built-in certificate private key and forge JWTs for any user, including global administrators.
